Cooler Fall temps have us headed to an old favorite

Fall’s arrival means that diners and drinkers in Dallas will once again be flocking to patios.  It’s the perfect opportunity to revisit an old favorite, The Porch. A fixture of the Dallas dining scene, it’s been a faithful standby in the Knox-Henderson neighborhood. Now, we’ve learned The Porch has a new brunch menu. Time to revisit a classic? 

“Our new brunch menu offers several Texas-inspired dishes, including a modern version of the standard chicken biscuit,” says Executive Chef Brian Zenner. “It starts with house-made buttermilk biscuits and hot fried chicken topped with black pepper gravy, hot sauce, and eggs.” 

Alongside more Southern dishes like chilaquiles rojos, you’ll find breakfast classics ranging from a lovely salmon and avocado toast to a decadent banana bread french toast. And if that hasn’t convinced you it’s time to make it a date, take note: brunch cocktails are just $5.  Sold. —Emily Rueggeberg
