Made for summer: A new daily uniform from a favorite designer
Cotton shirtdresses, easy poplin tops, lightweight tea skirts… the perfect uniform for summer is easy in spirit, but sometimes tough to find. Thankfully, one of our favorite New York designers has taken on the challenge. Rosie Assoulin—known for her statement pieces playing with volume, pattern, and intricate details—has introduced a made-for-summer collection with her husband Max.
Meet By Any Other Name, a tightly edited collection of wardrobe staples meant to be worn daily. It’s a self-described “informal expression of Rosie’s designs outside of her namesake label.”
“It’s basically everything I want to wear every day,” says Forty Five Ten President and Chief Creative Officer, Kristen Cole. “Travel-ready and so easy to accessorize—these are the effortless chic pieces to live in.”
To illustrate that point, the brand’s current lookbook was shot in New York, showing the colorful, easy pieces where they belong: walking the sidewalk, riding a bike, stopping by the bodega, and enjoying a slice of pizza on the street. We’re certain they’ll look just as perfect on Main Street, too.
