Literally speaking

For the fifth year, Dallas Contemporary has teamed up with Oak Cliff-based art collective Sour Grapes to teach kids the basics of graffiti art. The aim of Graffiti Camp is not only to create art that positively impacts the community, but also to chip away at the negative stigma surrounding spray paint art.

This year, The Joule has invited graffiti camp participants to come and leave their tag on  on the Stone Street boards, which are located across the street next to The EyeStop by to check out the kids’ original works, which are collaborative pieces created with free-hand lettering and stencils. —Margaux Anbouba
