The Nasher Sculpture Garden’s annual event was a hit.
Children’s events typically aren’t our thing. Balloon animals, sticky hands, and cheesy magicians—I mean, could we not? But the Nasher Sculpture Center has given the idea of “kids” events a run for their money with their annual fundraiser, The Great Create.
Held in the garden of the Nasher, there were interactive art installations and craft booths created by The Color Condition, TenOverSix, Francisco Moreno, and more. DJ Sober spun kid-friendly beats by the gone-too-soon icons of Prince (😭)and Selena, and there were wholesome popsicles by Berry Naked pops.
When they weren’t chasing around the kiddos, the adult crowd opted to keep their energy up with caffeine by Weekend Coffee or chill out a little with at the open bar.
Honestly, if we didn’t know this was a “children’s” party, we would have had no idea. We were right there with our little ones painting, cutting, creating, and exploring.
