Mais, Oui

Paris by way of The Dallas Arboretum

Named by Architectural Digest as one of the most stunning botanical gardens in the world, The Dallas Arboretum now has yet another draw. This fall welcomed a new French-style kitchen garden known as a potager. Set on lakefront ground with a beautiful view of the downtown Dallas skyline, A Tasteful Place includes manicured plots of vegetables, fruits and herbs, with master gardeners at-the-ready to field questions for home growers.

There’s also a new culinary event building with a show kitchen and year-round programming.  Planned events include cooking demonstrations by top chefs, health and nutrition talks by staff from UT Southwestern Medical School and Texas Woman’s University, regular Monday kitchen-skills classes by instructors from the nationally-recognized Food and Hospitality Institute of El Centro, children’s classes, craft demonstrations, and daily tastings from the bounty of the garden.
