Master the Craft

At The Joule’s cocktail class.

In a perfect world Ian Reilly, barman extraordinaire and conductor of The Joule’s cocktail cart, would spend evenings at our house. After a long day, he’d be waiting for us in the foyer with our favorite cocktail in hand, and he’d keep ’em coming.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a perfect world—and while you can’t take Ian home with you, you can take some of his cocktail knowledge. The second Sunday of every month, he’s wheeling that gorgeous cart inside The TASCHEN Library and hosting class, where you’ll simultaneously sip on some adult beverages and learn tips on how to recreate them.

It’s an intimate experience—each class is limited to eight people, so you can get one-on-one time to make sure you’ve got something you’ll actually want to make (and show off to your friends) at home. Lightweights should fret not, a two course menu of Scotch eggs, black eyed pea hummus, pimento cheese toast, marinated olives, and pork rinds will keep you grounded.

Book now and your world will be one step closer to perfection.

The Details: Cocktail class takes place the second Sunday of every month, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Reserve your spot by emailing $99 per person.
