If you’re expecting promises of a miracle cream, Kristin Petrovitch will surprise you. She co-founded Själ (Swedish for “soul” and rhymes with y’all) as part of her approach to holistic wellness.
The line is supercharged with precious minerals and gemstones—diamonds, sapphires, amethyst, and more—all designed to boost skin’s natural energy. “You can use the best moisturizer in the world, but that’s only one part of your lifestyle,” she says. “It’s about focusing on your energy and taking care of yourself.” Her book, Elemental Energy: Crystal and Gemstone Rituals for a Beautiful Life, is a good place to start.

Europe: Florence, San Sebasitàn, and Biarritz. My husband is a surfer, so lots of surfing and good food.

Being happy. It’s cliché, but true. Happiness affects all the cells in your body.

Craziest thing you’ve done in pursuit of wellness?
I’ve never used leeches, but I saw them in a Chinese clinic! I have taken a beating in a Russian bath house, though.
