TO A TEA

A new holiday tradition—complete with caviar and bubbly

Last year instead of the usual holiday office party, we opted for celebrating with Tea at Taschen. Best. holiday. switch. ever. Hosted inside the gilded Taschen Library at The Joule, the afternoon tea is intimate and relaxed with a very celebratory air.

Especially for the fall and holiday season, Tea at Taschen has unveiled a new menu featuring a festive assortment of sweet and savory bites with specialty tea pairings. Things kick off with a glass of bubbly and the signature Joule Egg with truffle, caviar, and a paper-thin potato crisp. Classic tea sandwiches and tartlets follow, along with a range of sweets like earl grey and lavender sablés, banana chai bars, and mocha profiteroles—a true display of The Joule’s pastry team’s prowess.

Guided tea tastings (and more bubbly) take place amid the library’s mid-century mosaics and bookshelves filled with coffee-table tomes on art, fashion, design, travel, photography, and lifestyle. As a parting gift, guests receive a $10 credit towards their Taschen purchase that day. —Emily Rueggeberg
