Tastemaker Awards

Anticipation builds for the 2017 CultureMap Tastemaker Awards

Among this year’s nominees are three pastry chefs from The Joule’s culinary team. Keith Cedotal, Ruben Torano, and Sarah Green are all in the running for “Best Baker.” CBD Provisions’ chefs Carolanne Treadwell and Nick Walker are both up for “Rising Star Chef of the Year,” as is Mirador’s Josh Sutcliff. (His work no doubt contributed to Mirador’s nomination for “Best New Restaurant.”) And up for the night’s most coveted title of “Restaurant of the Year” is another Joule favorite: Americano. Bravissimo!

Winners will be revealed at the April 20 awards ceremony. More than twenty restaurants (including Mirador, Lark on the Park, and Uchi) will be on hand serving tasting bites. And its not an awards ceremony unless you can raise a glass to the winners. Woodford Reserve, Tequila Herradura, and couple of breweries will have that covered.

CultureMap has extended an exclusive deal for 1530 Main friends and family. Just use promo code JOULE when purchasing your tickets online for $10 off.

UPDATE: Congratulations to Sarah Green and Josh Sutcliff who took home the award in their respective categories.

The Details: The awards will be held at Sixty Five Hundred, 6500 Cedar Springs Road. 7–10 p.m. Chef Tim Love will be the night’s emcee. Click here to get your tickets.
