THE NEW SUPERFOOD IN TOWN

Fresh-from-the-orchard beauty

Meet Le Prunier, the all-natural, facial oil garnering an impressive—and completely warranted—cult following thanks to its brightening and hydrating abilities. Its secret? The humble plum.

Oft underrated, the fruit is loaded with antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and polyphenols. These plums, in particular, come from a 102-year-old organic farm north of Sacramento. The owner’s granddaughters, Allison, Elaine, and Jacqueline Taylor, grew up helping on the family farm. After learning about the plum’s proverbial superpowers on a trip through Asia, they began to see its bounty with fresh eyes.

The sisters founded Le Prunier in 2016, and have since been producing one singular product made in California from 100% pure, organic, and ethically produced plum oil. The texture is rich but absorbs quickly, calming and soothing the skin. And the smell, just as you’d expect, is a walk in the orchard. —Nicole Jordan
