Weekend Highs

Spooky things under way

The minds of The Joule’s pastry chefs went to dark places to channel all the right kinds of spookiness for a Halloween-themed pop-up shop. Chocolates, sweets, pastries—what exactly they’ve whipped up is still a closely guarded mystery. Though, we do know it’ll be all treats, no tricks.

The Details: The Joule, 1530 Main. 11 a.m.–3 p.m. (or until they’re sold out!) thejouledallas.com

No shade will be thrown at the Andy Wolf trunk show at TenOverSix. Everyone’s friends with the super cool sunglass brand that makes all of its frames by hand in Austria. See the new collection and sip a autumn apple drink dreamed up by Midnight Rambler.

The Details: TenOverSix, 1511 Commerce Street. 2–7 p.m. Complimentary valet at The Joule. tenover6.com

And speaking of Midnight Rambler… Head downstairs for Candy-O, the cocktail bar’s ’80s-themed pizza party. Come dressed to impress; $100 cash prize for the best costume. Burgers from CBD Provisions and pizzas from Americano available until midnight. DJs Rick Simpson and Gavin Guthrie spin.

The Details: Midnight Rambler, 1530 Main Street beneath The Joule. 7 p.m.–2 a.m. Complimentary valet.

In anticipation of Halloween, All [Blank] Everything (the weekly series devoted entirely to one artist) pays tribute to Michael Jackson, the original thriller. DJ sets by thejohnstewart and Blue, The Misfit.

The Details: RBC, 2617 Commerce Street. 9 p.m.–2 a.m. $5 in advance; $10 at the door. Get your tickets here
