What To Do This Weekend

Eat, exercise, party, repeat.

Friday:

-Ghostbusters. We don’t know who Susie Sue is, but we’re planning on attending her birthday party at the Texas Theatre anyways. There will be a screening of Ghostbusters, plus a themed art auction that relates back to the movie (all proceeds benefit the Guardian Pit Bull Rescue). The Details: 231 West Jefferson Boulevard. Tickets here

Saturday:

-Hypnotic Donut dash. This 5k and one-mile fun run is more about eating than making a personal record. Activities include a chubby bunny contest, Donut-hole Stations, and more. Proceeds benefit Carry the Load—eating donuts has never felt so virtuous. The Details: Run starts at 8  a.m., find out more here.

-Piero Golia Lecture. The Nasher Sculpture Center hosts a monthly speaker series 360: Artists, Critics, Curators, which cover the continually evolving world of sculpture. To celebrate the final week of Chalet Dallas, artist Piero Golia will discuss his work in the Nasher’s Corner Gallery with curator Ann Goldstein. The Details: Lecture free with museum entry. 2001 Flora Street.

Sunday:

-Valentine’s Pin-up Shoot. Give your honey something extra-special (and extra-naughty) this Valentine’s Day—pin-up photos styled by Dallas Pin-Up and From the Looking Glass Studio. The Details: Sessions are first-come, first-served and require a reservation. Email info@dallaspinup.com for more details.
