What To Do This Weekend

Kid party, fashion party, art party

It’ll Do is the place where cool kids go to dance. That’s literally true when Disco Kids rolls through, turning the usually 21+ club into an all-ages party with dancing, snow cones, and face painting. (Yes, the grown-up bar will be open, too.)

The Details: It’ll Do. 4322 Elm Street. 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. $5 for kids; parents are free. Click here details.

Fashion, art, and music come together (and perhaps collide) during Temporary Chaos. The event showcases Autumn-Winter 2017 capsule collections from local designers M/1 and 6/6. SartorialNoLift, known for his intricately knotted continuous line drawings, will be doing live art throughout the evening. Blue The Misfit and N Tune perform.

The Details: The Mitchell Lofts, 3800 Commerce Street. 7–10 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include free drinks and bites. Click here to purchase.

Painter Keer Tanchak stops by Dallas Contemporary to discuss her current solo show, “Soft Orbit.” Drawing inspiration from figurative work of French Rococo painters like François Boucher and Jean-Honoré Fragonard, Tanchak illustrates how historical moments can help us understand what is happening today. Assistant Curator, Lilia Kudelia will moderate.

The Details: Dallas Contemporary, 161 Glass Avenue. 11 a.m. Free admission.
