What To Do This Weekend

Get your tricks and treats this weekend.

-American Psycho. The Texas Theatre is hosting a totally psycho party just in time for Halloween. First, watch the classic about that crazy kid Patrick Bateman and afterwards a wild dance party will help you give your business card to everybody in the house. The Details: The Texas Theatre, 231 West Jefferson Boulevard. Tickets and more here

Oak Lawn Block Party. You’ll see it all at Dallas’ best Halloween celebration. Crawl between the bars on the Cedar Springs strip and dance the night away. The Details: 3900 Block of Cedar Springs Road.

Twisted Trick-Or-Treat. Music by Judas Rising (a Judas Priest cover band), We Are Not All Men (an all-female Devo cover band), and Different Strokes (The Strokes cover band), plus DJ Gabriel Mendoza are waiting for you and your Halloween best. The Details: The Double Wide, 2510 Commerce Street. Details here.

Drag Brunch. The Queens are waiting! Reserve your spot for Drag Brunch at Cedar Grove, where you’ll enjoy a wholesome meal paired with some unwholesome entertainment. Possible musical performances include charismatically irreverent takes on Nicki Minaj, Cher, and a whole lotta Dolly Parton. The Details: Cedar Grove is located at 4123 Cedar Springs, suite #110. To make a reservation  for the 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. sessions, (recommended), click here.

Spooky Yoga Flow. Don your best (and most flexible) costumes and join Vital Fitness Studio and Ivivva for a mother-daughter yoga class out at The Eye. The Details: The Eye is located across the street from The Joule, 1530 Main Street. Complimentary valet parking. RSVP here.
