What to do This Weekend (NYE Edition)

When it comes it New Years Eve Weekend, you’ve got options.


-Singapore Slingers. Start 2016 with dancing and dessert at The Kessler Theater! The Singapore Slingers are known for their pre-swing American Dance music, and the band is made of 18 members, many of which are playing on authentic instruments. The Details: Tickets start at $35. -The Dallas Symphony. Ring in 2016 at the Dallas Symphony’s annual concert, where you’ll hear Strauss waltzes and Vinennese-inspired songs, plus a champagne toast at intermission. The Details: Tickets here.

-Lights All Night. It’s time to don your fuzzy boots and light-up headband (you know you have one) for Dallas’ two-day EDM music extravaganza. Taking place in the heart of Downtown, this year’s artists include Hardwell, Kaskade, Porter Robinson, Flosstradamus, and a whole lot more. The Details: Tickets start at $150. -CRISP Dallas Party. That That throws some of the best parties, so their NYC celebration is sure to be a banger. Stop by for music from The Outfit, TX, Jayson Lyric, Thakidcam, and Curtis Mayz, plus DJ sets and more. The Details: More information here


-Hungover? Pick up a pizza from Americano and have some R&R in bed.

-First Saturdays at The Nasher. Grab the kiddos and enjoy the Nasher Sculpture Center’s monthly event, where they can do crafts, activities, and learn about art. The Details: 2001 Flora Street. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., activities 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

-Magda Sayeg Holiday Show. TenOverSix is adorned with spyrographs, yoga balls, and more, that are not only beautiful, but also works of art. The Details: Check them out in the Commerce Lobby and 


-Peter Pan 360 closing night. You may have to grow older, but you can avoid growing up. Fly to Neverland to see the spectacular Peter Pan play at Threesixty Theatre, a world-class theatre tent that’s being brought to the city just for this performance. The Details: Peter Pan 360 runs November 11 – 29.
