–The State Fair. Can’t wait any longer to get your hands on some funnel cake? Today’s opening day of the Texas State Fair, which will be open daily until October 18. More information here.
–Hall & Oates at The Majestic Theatre. Calling all man eaters, rich girls, and debbie downers who can’t go for that—this dashing ’70s duo is performing to benefit CitySquare, a non-profit fighting homelessness in downtown Dallas. Tickets here.
–Park & Palate. Stop by Klyde Warren Park for the grand tasting, where more than 30 chefs, plus wineries, breweries, and other culinary professionals will be serving up dishes noon to 5. –TenOverSix Fall Preview Party. Stock your closet with fall must-haves while we’re still waiting for the temperature to drop below 90.
